I am a ninth grade student attendeing a school in Fort Collins. I am in a class focused on photography. I have always injoyed taking pictures but I have always needed to improve on my skills as a photographer. Taking this class has shown me very usefull skills and has allowed me to find my true passion for photography.I believe the passion I have for pictures has shown with the pictures I take that are dark or in black and white.

I love to take pictures of nature because you can tell a story with the trees and the birds. You can even put people in the picture to tell an even greater story. What i like the most though is to do all of that but in black and white to give emotion. I hate to take pictures of bright colors though. This is because I feel like it is harder to tell a compeling story with a bright picture.

Normally I shoot with a Power shot A85 Cannon camera. It is a smell yet affective camara, but I would love to be able to shoot with a more powerfull camara such as an SLR.

In the future, I hope to have an SLR so I may take better pictures. If or when I do, I will begin to take pictures that I hope to get published in magazines.

I love Gabe's unique way of capturing joy and humor. Looking through his pictures, I can't help but to smile, laugh, and wonder why I didn't try to do that.
