Native to southern Florida, LK Loveday-Funck spent much of her childhood in Austin, Tx and completed her education in New Orleans. With a love of historical imagery and style, initially, she specialized in jewelry. From there, her interests shifted to other mediums, from art dolls and animals to digital art and photography.

From a young age, she was caught between the mystical world of her grandmother's Romani heritage and her scientist father's pragmatic world view. Unable to reconcile the two, she sought refuge in the dark, twisting trails of fairy tale and fantasy. With her work, she explore the spiritual place where the playful whimsy of a fairyscape meets the dark mystery of voodoo magic.
