My name is Álvaro. I'm a self-taught artist living in Spain. I started crating ooak fantasy dolls and sculptures under the name of Fuego Fatuo in late 2009. Since I was a child I've loved everything related with fantasy and magic. I started drawing and illustrating until I discovered sculpture as a tool to bring my characters and fantasy creatures to a more realistic dimension.

My work is mainly inspired by nature, the faerie realm and the work of talented artists such as Brian & Wendy Froud, Paul Kidby, Tony DiTerlizzy or Jean-Baptiste Monge (among others). When I create, I try to give a naturalistic view to the supernatural beings I make.
