fubuki is the smartest, funniest person i have never met. take a trip thorough his amazing, varied, hilarious, aromatic, heartmoving, edgy, kind, scintillating, beautiful, riveting photostream ... read every word... you will find you haven't eaten for days because his images and words will have filled you. you will laugh your ass off. you may cry. you will feel as if you have discovered the the best book of your whole life. most of all, you will want to know him in real life. Ty is my friend.. my brother. ... i don't say that lightly. he is also a person who often makes me want to write a poem .. or skip like a stone over the ocean, so to somehow find myself across a campfire from him.. laughing, smoking, drinking bourbon.. just to listen to the wizardry of his stories... if i had ever met someone like him outside this flickrverse, i'd have married them. but i suspect.. and this pisses me off .. that there is no one else like him, anywhere.

I do believe everything that can be said about "Fubuki" has been said. His awareness to discover all the things that I will most likely continue to overlook... such as the examination of a rock, tree, flower, car, building, rust, food,.......the list is endless! Fubuki opens a whole new world of sensational creativity with every photograph he posts... moving me to hear, touch and feel all that I see... not to forget the cowboys!!..... I learn something about photography, sports, religions, politics,....... you name it!! from him each day by tuning in to his converations with so many of his fans, friends... Lots of laughs !! Lots of sensitivity!! You get the "real thing" with Fubuki!!! ...If you get get this "my friend" ... thanks for sharpening my awareness of the things which surround me... things i've been looking at for a very long time... but not really seeing. This is a long time coming...I've started to write this at least 3 times already in the past 6 months. This is the cat who picked up on my stuff and added me as a friend ages and ages ago. The first interaction i remember was his "bombing" of my stream with a gang of comments and favorites! Made me feel like a million. I am grateful for his presence here on flickr. You're definitely a legend 'round these parts dude. And he shoots like there's no tomorrow. That gets heavy respect in my book:)

There is little I can say about Ty that hasn't been said hundreds of times before. But his popularity is a telling testament to the enormous impact he has had on the people around him: whether it be through his photographic prowess or huge heart, Ty has an insight into people and the world that escapes even the most astute of observers. He makes us smile, laugh, cry, gasp in astonishment, and furrow our eyebrows in confusion. But most of all, Ty keeps us feeling something, lifting the possible banality of an impersonal world. Why I keep coming back: It's not only the pictures, although they're magnificent and seen with an expert's eye. It's his attitude, intellect, sense of humour and the enjoyable threads of conversation he actively participates in. It's the people he attracts who comment on his work and the funny and/or unusual tags attached to his pictures. His portraits put women into states of hysterical rapture. He uses Photoshop judiciously, which serves him well. A real photographer's photographer who always seems to strive for more with a near child's enthusiasm. My impression of Ty is that he seems affable, wise, and cool without the aloofness. Some people have incredible pictures, but don't offer as much personality as Fubuki. My favourite quote of his: "Rules are for the ruled." I love that. Thanks, Ty.
