Norwegian of birth, American through marriage, and eternally devoted to my lovely wife Mary and our three wonderful dogs Walker, Scarlett and Ingeborg. My passion for wildlife, nature, and conservation has guided me through life and led me to where I am today. In my pursuit of a career in avian research I study the genetics and molecular systematics of New World orioles.
