Philosophy

 

The best camera is the one I have with me. I live and breathe this, and that's why most of my shots are with an iPhone 3GS.

 

I don't however take iPhone shots, for the sake of taking iPhone shots.

 

My philosophy is to capture the moment to the best of my ability, so if I happen to be holding a proper camera (I also own a Lumix GF1 with a 20mm f1.7), the iPhone will stay in the pocket.

 

Style

 

I may shoot a lot of things but my passion is street photography. I try to shoot as much of this as I can both locally and abroad.

 

iPhoneography and Lomography

 

Recently a lot of my iPhone work has involved lomographic styles. It is however getting boring, and I'm finding the post processing effects being more of a crutch than anything else, propping up mediocre photos, and am looking to go back to basics.

 

My set on the residents of Kampung Parit Penghulu remains some of my best work on an iPhone, and I need to get back to that level and start building my skill levels from there again
