A Photo-Biography here.
I am enjoy photographing Landscapes. I am interested in people, where they come from, and what they do with their photography; why they choose what they choose to share.
Flickr is for me the perfect place to have a pictorial history of one's own family. Some folks take a delight to do more than just favor a photo, they comment and communicate..
I believe I need to edit my favorites on occasion.
I am astonished at the vast sampling of beautiful images here in Flickr.
I also have a long lasting love for the human form.
This is a browsing place for those of us, family, and friends, who choose to dally with us.
I have put together a pictorial history of my family and their activities with emphasis on this fellow and his retirement years.
I am now a photographer, and yes a father of three, Pete, Madeleine, and Michael, and partner, helpmate to my dear beloved wife, Janis. Given the year 2008, our ages: 79 with 55 years together.
My images are not in chronological order yet. The plan is to do that housekeeping on a day coming. Many of the early photos were taken with a 35mm Leica and a 4x5 speed graphic.
Before retirement: I was employed at LBNL, UC..Berkeley. Now I am a craftsman and photographer
This ancient Freebern32, I dare say I am a wee bit eccentric but I am pleased with his presence; he remains quite alive and kicking.

I have a vast set of interests that dominate my albums, a place for storing old photos of the children, our travels, our ancestors and our childhood. Here at Flickr I am free to organize images and publish mini books for friends and family, the latter a valuable tool. I suspect that the family may wish to scan through them when my age. Not sure about that, doesn't matter as this is an enjoyable pastime for this older guy.
I advise all: "We have a right to change our mind" and recommend one always questions authority. Think for yourself.
If of interest, I started with a 4x5 Speed Graphic as a college photographer, an IIIC Leica when in the navy, & grad school; to wind up after my career, with a Mamiya 6MF. The one I use most now the rangefinder Sony NEX-7.
