Fredy's work is uncanningly varied, as I've seldom seen wildlife photographers venturing into social photojournalism, because human portraiture work is so much different from portraying landscapes and animals... I'm proud to say that I own several of the photo books in which Fredy's photography is included and have found them excellent, great works to look up to. Colombian photojournalists, and specially biodiversity-aware, cultivated people like Fredy are hard to come by, because the Colombian environment is not at all kind not forgiving for (real) journalists nor photographers, specially independent ones. I believe it takes a special kind of person to get where Fredy has ventured and succeeded, and though my contact with him has been limited, I can already tell he is a great, kindly guy, I must add.
