When we decided to move from Florida to West Virginia late in 2011, I had to put my camera away and prepare for the move. Now that we are settled in, I'm back on track with photography, but in a new place. I look forward to seeing all the fantastic photos I have missed in the past year.

It has been six years since we moved to West Virginia, and in that time I have converted part of a one acre hay pasture into a flower garden. Now I can indulge my flower photography addiction in my own back yard, and I can even choose the subjects by planting what I want.

Limping, hairy humanoid. I use a Canon T2i camera with a 100 mm macro lens, a standard 18-55 mm zoom, and a 70-300 telephoto zoom. I'm attracted to macro photography and natural history, but will shoot anything that looks interesting at the moment. I am amazed at the number of excellent creative photographers on Flickr. The Digital Gods have been kind to us all.
