Original member starting March 2005 when I purchased my first Canon Digital Single Lens Reflect camera as a graduation gift to myself from obtaining my master of social work degree and concurrently while beginning my deep (and what became 13 years of) internal work as a hospice care clinician in our community.

I was once known as former.ly on flickr and deleted my entire photo stream from 2005 until 2008 after partaking in very nearly an entire 365 (one self-photo a day) project. I deleted the stream in effort to convey the essence of impermanence and detachment from those "things" which we feel we will never lose in this short life... days of our life that we cannot take back.

In the fall of 2008 I picked right back up and moved forward again. All portraits are done by me and with myself. Since this stream originated, I have taken possession over a handful of modern touch ipods and smart-phones and my photography world has gone in a direction far from my SLR. I still relish my digital and film SLR cameras. I can also be found at instagram: franb.stone.
