Photos, for me, are a way to capture memories, share and promote the interests and places I love, and inspire me to look at and see nature in ways I might not otherwise.

I arrived late in life to the joys of photography. Didn't even own a camera for most of my life. All my early photos were taken with a disposable camera, then digitized in 2014. Or were taken by someone else, with a print given to me, which I finally digitized in recent years.

My first non-disposable camera was a credit-card sized Logitech model that I used 2005 - 2006. Then got a simple, pocket-sized Canon PowerShot A540 as a gift in 2007, and used it through 2019. Thinking it may now be time for something new.

I don't aspire to be a professional-quality photographer, but I do thoroughly enjoy viewing the amazing photos of those who have developed their gifts in this field. I welcome suggestions and tips from others.
