ℹ️ About me :

From France, I work as professional wildlife photographer and filmmaker since 2002, and I started photography in 1992. I'm also a photo trainer.

Versatile in wide fields, I design my own gear such as fast shutter systems for high-speed flash shooting. My great passion for the beauties of nature often takes me around the globe in search of unusual landscapes or surprising animals such as bats or reptiles, amphibians, insects...

My work is often published in books, magazines (France or abroad), and can also be seen in exhibitions. My images are mainly distributed by BIOS agency since 1995.

In order to preserve the authentic soul of my images, they are performed without artifice, without lens-filters and RAW post-production processing is always minimalist and faithful to the subject. Though it is sometimes needed for very tiny animals, no focus stacking amongst my images.

My gear is exclusively Canon and Apple (Mac Pro using the latest versions of Capture One Pro and Adobe Photoshop CC).

All photographed animals are treated with respect - no endless photo shoot - and these are in situ when possible

✅ I like :

- Beautiful soft lighting (natural or artificial)

- Pretty animals (all kind of)

- **Sharpness** of the main subject (even in motion)

- Colorful subjects (especially blue ones)

❌ I don't like much :

- Nature photos in a too "artistic" way (especially when you can't recognize the subject)

- Fisheye macro shoots (because of toooo much distorsion of the main subject) and abusive wide angle (because it's easy to get "spectacular" pics)

- B&W pics (except for people, architecture...)

💩 I hate :

- The "fashion" of white macro backgrounds (except for some didactic and specific goals...)

- Blurred images (when absolutely nothing is sharp, even in motion)

- Artificial macro backgrounds (all mine are natural)
