I'm in my 50's and I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I am a lawyer by profession, but my hobbies are more on the artistic side -- music (singing and piano), photography, writing.

I am divorced and have one wonderful daughter, who is almost finished university and who lives nearby. My old Mum now lives with me, which is interesting, to say the least. :)

I have a beautiful, funny English Bulldog named Ruby. I take way too many photographs of Ruby. I can't help myself -- she's just too gorgeous!

Photography has been in my blood since I was born -- my late father was a really keen photographer, and we always had a darkroom in our house. And there were always multiple cameras, lenses, and all the other fun bits and pieces that go with them. I'm not a very accomplished photographer -- I mainly take what I think of as snapshots. I'd love to be a better photographer, and someday when I have more time to myself I plan to take courses, read books, and obtain some mad skills.

I love Flickr, and I love checking in with and hearing from the many Flickr friends I've made since I joined. For the last couple of years, though, I've been absent more than I've been present, due to life just getting a bit more demanding. I'm working at getting more Flickr-involved again, and also at getting back more deeply into photography.
