I am an aspiring professional photographer and have been running my own company "Events to Remember Photography" for a few years now. I focus mainly on weddings, events, sports, and portraits, and love to capture deep emotion and fleeting moments. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors and photographing various scenery from Urban Decay to Wildlife.

I don't consider myself to be a great teacher, but I am passionate about photography and love to help people learn to take photos to the fullest potential of their gear and mind. I'm pretty open to sharing ideas and helping out, so feel free to shoot me a flickrmail if you have any questions.

Outside of shooting, I enjoy the outdoors and my pets. I currently have 4 dogs, which were all rescues or adoptions. A brother and sister pair are Rat Terrier mixes, we have a Chihuaha, and a pit mix who is the most lovable boy you could meet. Lastly, my wife and I own a horse that stays at Foxgate Farms in Columbus, MI.

I met Aaron on my very first Exposure Detroit outing. I had just purchased my first DSLR and was an AUTO shooting queen, but dreaming about learning my camera and using it to my full potential. Aaron took me under his wing that day and taught me SO much in the few short hours. I was amazed at how generous he was with his time and knowledge and from that point on I was even more hooked on photography!! That was almost a year ago. We have had the opportunity to shoot together several times over the past year and I started taking notes with everything Aaron would tell me and now have my "Aaron Notebook of Knowledge" tucked in my camera bag. Aaron has been so patient and wonderful in explaining how and why to do things. He is the type of person that will let you contact him day or night with the dumbest question, but not mind and will gladly help you figure out what went wrong!! Unfortunately for me, that has been TOO often! lol Every equipment and lens purchase I have made for my camera has been from Aaron's recommendation. Since we both shoot Canon, Aaron let me borrow his lens at my class field trip. Of course it was a HUGE tease and I had to run out and buy one of my own!! I always joke that he loves to spend my money, but the truth is I trust him and his opinions and he has never steered me wrong! I am so thankful that I met him. He is such a wonderful, kind, caring man, and so friendly. He would do anything for anyone and I am SO lucky to call him my friend!! Thanks, Aaron for EVERYTHING!! ~Cori~

Aaron is one of the most generous people I have ever met. He is always willing to share in his knowledge and help someone learn something new. Since we both shoot Canon, I know I can draw upon his experience with different equipment and gain valuable advice when shopping for new gear. He also does amazing stuff like rescue dogs and volunteer his photographic services to charitable organizations. I am fortunate in having made his acquaintance. Oh yeah.... he takes great pictures, too!

I ran into Aaron at my friend Keith Burgess' showing in March. It was nice to meet so many interesting people, and Aaron being such a friendly helpful person made me interested in joining Exposure Detroit, during a time when I am going through some major life changes. I was invited to shoot by Rich and ran into Aaron at the River walk shoot a week ago. I have never worked with anything but auto-focus, but have always wanted to properly work with low light shooting. Aaron really took some time and showed me how to set exposure correctly, and he was really great to work with. I know I have a lot more to learn but was able to get a couple decent shots on the courthouse building. I have been a technical instructor for 20 years and I can say Aaron is a natural teacher and therefore I consider him a blessed, highly intelligent person. Making people feel comfortable and at ease and not stupid because they don't understand something is a key to opening minds. I have learned no matter a persons background if you connect with them either as the teacher or the student there is much to be gained as everyone knows something unique that you don't! I am thankful I met you and can call you my friend thanks Again Aaron, I look forward to another shoot soon! Andrew
