I'm an amateur photographer at best. I know the basics and work at improving at all times, but this is certainly not something that I will ever make a living at ...
So given that, I am out to have fun and enjoy this hobby ...
I have almost three decades working on computers which gives me no small advantage working with digital manipulation ... no formal training, just a lot of trial and error.
My basic statement about computers is, "There are no experts in the industry, just a lot of people like myself who have made a lot of mistakes. I have almost 30 years of mistakes to learn what not to do ..."
I am also very luck to have a wife that has almost identical interests ... though she is focusing on print photography at the moment while I am focused on digital photography ...

I never expected when I started using Flickr that I'd have so much fun ... the reason I am posting this update is to explain part of the smile on my face today.
Over the last few days I've had to explain what Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper are to other contacts of mine (for those that don't know ... carbonated, caffienated drinks popular here in the United States) ... Flickr is more international and with more exciting individuals than I ever expected ...

Who knew hearts could be so interesting? Bob expresses vivid imagination and creativity with his photos, taking everyday objects, and turning them into works of art. His photostream has many interestingingnesses(???) elements to it, that keeps me coming back for more.
At the time of writing this Bob has not been a contact for very long. However, he brings with him a level of enthusiam, encouragement and kind words that is always uplifting. Thanks Bob for your generosity and for taking such an interest in my efforts. It is greatly appreciated I can assure you.
