While it has been many years since I have been under a dark cloth looking at a reversed image on the ground glass, lugged a 4x5 camera and tripod around, or worked into the early morning in a darkroom, what I learned in those days of carefully composed one-shot-at-a-time photographs carry over to the photography I now do with a digital camera and a computer. Photographic technology these days is light years removed from what I used to do with film and the darkroom, but the elements that make for a good photograph haven't changed.
