Julia Mason and Bethany Martin are the Forks on Wheels team. They are cycling 16,000km from the London to Hong Kong in 2015.

Their motivation to take on this challenge stems from our passions for travel, cycling and food.

The route will take them across Europe, along the Danube trail, along the coast of the Black Sea in Turkey. They will cross the Caspian Sea by ferry to Kazakhstan and continue on to conquer the 'stans! After enter China at Kashgar will cycle east towards Chengdu, and then head south for the last 1,100 miles towards Hong Kong!

The Forks on Wheels journey will be documented through photographs, film and words. We aim to tell our story and the story of those we meet. To connect with cultures and values. To collect recipes. To embrace the importance of food all over the world.

Forks on Wheels are supporting organisations that share our values - encourage sustainable use of land, reduction in food waste and global food security. We want efficiency in the food chain.
