I am Nate Meadows and I am a retired Staff Sergeant form the United States Army. I am a Wounded Soldier returned home from Iraq who has poured himself into making beautiful things instead of destroying them. I was wounded by a Fuel Bomb, a specific type of IED, only I was protected from its flames. My injuries are primarily internal and therefore perplexing to many people. I look normal however I have a severe head injury that impairs my balance, messes with the nerves in my hands and feet, and gives me terrible headaches that can take me out for days at a time. Life is still very good however! I have a beautiful wife and two healthy sons.

I was adopted by many great people when I was in the hospital, who have helped me get a shop up and going. I am an artist and a visionary. I can look a empty room, a blank piece of paper or a plan blank of wood and see a thousand possibilities. I love working with my hands to make what my minds eye develops. I struggle with several disabilities but I have vowed to never, God willing, let them keep me from my goals and dreams.

I take pictures of my work and progress to show all of you kind people that your generosity was not wasted on me. I want you all to know and see how much you have touched my life and helped me move forward from my darkest of days.
