A chronicler of the end of life on Earth as we knew it. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Quite a shame really - it used to be such a cosy little planet/life support system.

I've spent my entire life as a small cog (national park ranger) in a machine trying to conserve things and places that have no say in what we choose to do to them. It's largely been a waste of time really - humans, as a species are so very, very selfish. But it's been a most fortunate life and I have been privileged to experience and see so many wonderful things. And I wouldn't be dead or a Pom for quids.

Sentience has its benefits and its downsides.

"He who despairs over an event is a coward, but he who holds hope for the human condition is a fool." Albert Camus, The Rebel (1951)

Call me a cynic, call me circumspect, you’d better call me a taxi.

“.....Climate Change is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought.” Major Jack D. Ripper, Dr Strangelove 1964 (with apologies to Stanley Kubrick)
