I have known Ken for nearly ten years now. His son Matthew was a team captain on the high school soccer team I coached back in the day. It has only been the past couple of years that I have gotten together for some day and overnight hiking trips with Ken and sometimes with his daughter Kelsie. During these adventures, I have developed a tremendous respect and admiration for Ken's preparedness and eagerness to get out into nature. His enthusiasm for a good long walk is welcomed in my world and in truth, I can hardly wait for the next trip someplace, anyplace. In addition to Ken's hiking ability and navigation in the woods, he is also a darn good photographer! Did I mention his sense of humor........another day :)
