I am an expatriate from the Puget Sound area (born and raised in Tacoma, college in Seattle), and I now find myself having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than half of my life. How in the world did that happen?

I've been actively involved in photography since my days as a photographer for my high school newspaper and yearbook. Back in the days when film was the only option. Back in the days when you used to have to monitor very closely how many pictures you could take because you might run out of film. Now? Pretty much all digital. I'll fire off a hundred, no, make that a thousand or more frames on a shoot and not think twice. That said, don't get me started on the problem of never having enough hard drive storage space.

My wife has never developed (pun intended) much of an interest in photography, but I might have a better chance with my 2 daughters, although for them photography more or less begins and ends with the iPhone.
