I lean towards abstract and street photography, and fret about taking 'postcard' shots. I'm a journalist by profession, so perhaps a photojournalist at heart. I do think my photos tend to work better in series, though some manage to stand alone. I'm short on time and training, but I think I have an 'eye' for composition and get there sometimes with content... I'm self-taught (with a little guidance from news photographers I've worked alongside) and devour photobooks and websites ... the best education is to look, I figure...
