The Folger Shakespeare Library is home to the largest collection of Shakespeare materials in the world - everything from First Folios to films! Exhibitions, performances, readings, lectures -- it all happens here, side by side with scholarly research, programs for K-12 students and teachers, and publication of the best-selling Shakespeare editions in America. Henry and Emily Folger's gift to the American people, the Folger -- which opened in 1932 -- is located one block from the US Capitol.
