Fodd a.k.a Mike has been truly an amazing friend to me. He's always a very supportive loving and understandin man who knows exactly what to say to lift his friend's spirits up and I have benefit from Mike's wisdom and sensitivity too. He might not be aware of tat, but his wise sensible words have helped me out of some real shitty times. I have so much adoration for this brilliant artist and incredibly kind soul I am biased to give an opinion about him as a photographer. So I'll wind this up by saying ALL the photos in his stream are definetely worth a click. We love you, Fodd! and we are most happy to dwell in Fodd's world. Fodd was the first person to comment on some of my pictures when I uploaded them onto Flickr for the first time about three months ago. Fodd was also the first person to favourite one of my 'snaps', and the first person to make me a contact. As a complete novice and a total stranger to the etiquette of Flickr, I was incredibly grateful that he reached out and offered a friendly hand. Fodd's photostream is a breathtaking display of outstanding photography, with incredible macro's of flora and fauna, depictions of the sea in all its fury and finery, wonderful perpectives on the Gormley installation on Merseyside and much much more. Fodds gentle and encouraging presence in the Flickr world has been an inspiration. His thoughtful insights, and honest portrayal of feelings through his images and music links, means that visiting Fodd's world is like coming home to a safe, comforting and VERY beautiful place. It is his generosity of spirit that is conveyed most through the beauty and insights he shares, on his stream and in his commenting of the work of others. I haven't ever met Fodd in person, but I can honestly say, that Flickr is a better place with him in it.
