I started taking swimming pictures when my children began age group swimming many years ago. The photos I post here are mostly from Grinnell College swim meets. My daughter Claire is a member of the team. I embarrass Claire by taking photos during her swim meets. I started out just taking photos of Claire, but now try to get good shots of as many Grinnell swimmers as I can. My hope is that the swimmers will share them with their parents.

My favorite hobby is competitive sailing. I sail with my wife Debby in local, regional and national events. We sail in the one-design "Flying Scot" class. The Flying Scot is most often raced with a crew of two sailors.
