My name is Katherine.

I'm 15, my friends got me into photography and I'm absolutely in love with it. I'm terrible decent, I suppose, at editing and I'm getting better. Anyone wh uses GIMP and likes to help those less fortunate, tutorials are appreciated(;

 

I do photography for me, myself, and I, not for anybody else. Don't like it? Deal with it.

 

I am the proud owner of a Nikon d40 named Nikolas, Nik for short and his two lenses, one of which is a crappy film lense that he came with. The focus ring jams and the zoom ring sticks but it worked until I bought my new one(: It's just a standard 18-55mm, but I love it.

 

Don't judge me, get to know me.

 

I think photography truly is an art and a form of self expression and that the best pictures aren't the "pretty" ones but are the ones with meaning.

But I do remember that she wrote me such a sweet message to me about my photos and me, and I was so happy, because she was the first person to write to me on Flickr. I knew then that I liked this girl. Then I saw her photos. Katherine is so talented when she comes to her photos. You can feel all her emotions she had when she took the photo, which is incredible. She captures all the feelings of life- joy, anger, sadness, excitement, love. It's awesome. She's not afraid to capture herself, even when she's not happy, which so many people can't do with photography. She tells the whole story of her life through her photos, and does it so beautifully. Thank you so much for reaching out to me, Katherine, and being my first Flickr friend. You are really awesome.
