All is not as it seems.

Fascinated by the narrative potential of projected and reflected light, and how light and time, and space can provide such a rich playground. For me, photography is a clearing space for creative experimentation. Sometimes, the results can turn out to be pure crap... but then, the process explored while reaching those results has often been far more enriching!

Last night, at the room between dream and reality, I suddenly started writing Shari a testimonial! So here it is! We met when one of us commented on a photo, and then we had a very funny conversation, until I had to make her my friend. And I'm glad I did, she is such a wonderful person! Where most of us on Flickr just photographs, Shari is a real artist! I often have no idea what I'm loking at, but her photos makes me feel and think, and is that not what real art is about? Not that I don't appreciate a beautiful shot, but her pics really are special to me! They make me write the strangest comments, being so powerful! Keep up the good work, dear, but I'm sure you will, a good artist can not be held down... ;D

Let me think... I don't know why, but every time I read the comments that floebee leaves in my site, I reach the conclusion that she is the right person to talk about anything, to eat a load of popcorn while watching TV with the legs on the table; to drink Coke; to talk about music and books and movies... And what about her photographs? I only can say that they are a constant inspiration to me. I like the way in which floebee sees the world. Abstraction, humanity... Shelter, in the end, in one word. Thanks, Shari. Thanks for sharing all the art that you have inside. You are a star. Josean

The subject matter ranges: from the desert, underwater, through swamp and shadow, to silk and fleece, and on to dance and feathers, even a drip of water becomes a stunningly sensual event – orbs of light become a celebration of emotion, or simply, sheer shimmering visual poetry.....Many works just scream to be "seen" in relation to music – of an amazing range of styles and expression – all analogous to the art that puts forth concretely seductive abstractions, humorous undertones - even in naturescapes - and ironic social reflections. The art also reflects on photography itself, its conventions, and especially, its viewers......Here is found the work of a visual prankster and story telling abstractionist who gets you to think about what you see, and to go back and see what you forgot to think about. The works stay one step ahead of the repetitions that suffocate uniqueness, but always finds time to articulate the beauty left behind, or unnoticed, by those in too big a hurry.
