Floating Point Studios Limited (the company) is an independent games developer in Swansea, Wales (UK). The studio is currently developing downloadable games for the PC. A major part of the business plan is to always be developing new Intellectual Property (IP) and gameplay styles; the team are extremely committed to developing original and innovative games.

The company aims to have a very strong community interaction and publishes development diaries and team member blogs weekly. Additionally, the company aims to have an ongoing dialogue with the community and will listen and reply to any positive and/or negative comments regarding the company's games and studio.

The company was founded in 2008 by Julian Hainsworth, a graduate from the skillset accredited Swansea Metropolitan University (SMU). The studio was incorporated as a private limited liability company on the 17th July 2008. Part of the business plan is to offer more creative industry jobs in Swansea for students from the local universities to give them a taste of life in game development, as well as local graduates and qualified individuals from further afield.
