I call Chile my home and I feel uneasy when not riding my motorbike on rugged country or mountain roads, camera in a pouch on the handlebars.

I'm now in Albuquerque, NM, and the bike stayed at home, but the photography remains. It wasn't easy making sense of photography without the bike for a while. I now have another here in the US, but it's just not the same. There just isn't the same freedom to ride as I had in Chile. Less free in the land of the free. Oh well.

I found my interest in taking pictures of people outweighed that of taking pictures of landscapes. This happened around the time I got my first DSLR and the oh-so-special 50 mm f/1.8. You've probably heard that story a thousand times.

All my ride pics are on my website, El Cantar de la Lluvia, and about half are in the English translation, Flight Of The Platypus.
