The quality of Ray's photography really stands out. He has created an online feast of photographic excellence. He well deserves his following on Flickr and the almost 6m views of his photo archive. What really stands out for me is that he has produced really artistic work in the diverse fields of street photography, aviation and nature. He is always quick to applaud other photographers' work, and he has an encyclopedic knowledge of aviation history. A valued virtual friend :)

So there I was, just about to go to bed when I stumbled properly over Flickrways photos. I was pulled into a world of not just good, but clever and well thought out images that make one think. Not only do they capture you initially but the more you look, the more they grow on you and captivate you. This collection certainly has something about it. Strong images with strong stories wrapped around them. Singularly or together I'm not quite sure, but they work and they work well. Keep up the good work.
