Hello there. My name is Jeff Soderquist. I’m a Seattle based film photographer, who loves nothing more than taking full advantage of the many luxuries living in the Emerald City affords me. More often than not, you’ll find me hiking along one of the regions many trails, enjoying a pint with friends at a local brewery, or taking in a University of Washington football or Mariners game.

My photography reflects these many adventures, as I strive to create a narrative of the world around me. Pinhole cameras are my primary tool set with which I record the light around me. You’ll also find a healthy dose of Holga, and various other medium format and 35mm cameras used to create my images. That being said you won’t find much talk about camera gear or post processing tips here, as neither topic excites me all that much. For me photography is less about the technical aspect of making an image, and more about the journey taken to create them. What you’ll find here is honest dialogue about the photographic process, from the birth of an idea to the finished product.

What! How am I the first one to write a testimonial for Jeff? Lucky me, I guess! Jeff's work is so consistently creative and unique. I can oftentimes pick his images out from a page of my contacts'. I like that he shoots such a wide variety of subjects, not limiting himself when it comes to landscapes, cityscapes and everything in between. In particular there are a number of his color pinhole images that have left an indelible impression on me, the kind that you don't forget even after logging off the computer. And he of course is well-versed in the world of Holga. His stream is, overall, a blast to view!
