Crafter - i have a shot at:-

patchwork, quilting, stitcheries, knitting, crochet, spinning and even trying weaving

My tastes have been changing over the last few years and I'm drawn more to simplified designs and what may be considered as a monochromatic palette

I do like some traditional block but prefer something with a modern twist

I like appliqué but more the Japanese style, or free flowing modern style rather than Sunbonnet Sue or Baltimore

I keep setting myself little challenges to adapt and develop my skills and am hoping to improve my free motion quilting over time to be able to attempt, firstly a small whole cloth then maybe something bigger - again this would be with a more modern twist

With some fabrics getting so expensive I've started dyeing my own and love the results and freedom this give me - so much so that when we redecorate the bedroom I'm considering making a new pieced quilt using hand dyes and the colour scheme (midnight blue and silver) will also adapt to us being able to use the Appliqué Challenge quilt I'm currently working on this year
