I've long had an interest in photography and well as moving images/filming. I started by playing around with my Dad's Olympus OM20 many moons ago, trying my hand at trick photography and time exposures. I then bought my own Canon EOS 300N SLR during my university days and, after several lifestyle and career changes, I am seriously getting back into the hobby and loving every minute of it. I've also moved to shooting mainly on a 40D these days, although I am not ruling out more film.
There's no real subject matter that I enjoy shooting above others, although I seem to get along well with reflections and geometric patterns. It must be the scientific brain taking control! One thing is clear though, since picking up a camera again, the way that I view the world has changed. It's at this point I must thank and congratulate my family and friends for their patience and understanding as I crawl around on the floor* or hang back during walks, visits and even when in people's homes.
Please feel free to comment and criticise on my pictures, so long as it is all constructive. I am always looking to refine my technique and I really value the great set of contacts and friends that I have got on Flickr. I've had the great pleasure of meeting several of these people in the flesh too.
I am generally not a fan of gifts and awards. Comments are fine, but filling up the comment column with jazzy award images and flashing stars doesn't really float my boat. I can go to a nightclub or the local ambulance station to see flashing lights if I so wish.
