As a child, my father would take me down to the railway station in Barnsley. Somewhere there is a photo of me standing by a class 08 parked in Barnsley station taken with his Voigtlander Bessa. Those were there days of course. Most schools I attended were near railway lines, and so the interest grew. Started off using the Voigtlander Bessa but soon realised it was expensive to run (8 negatives per roll film) and awful for anything moving faster than slow. So on came the Zenit E and soon after a couple of Pentax SLR's. Then came digital video which captured my imagination - I still try to get some stills while I flit back and forth from the video camera.
