I started my working life as a carpenter and joiner but from 1981 to 2010 was a Divisional Survey Manager, Trainer, and Technical Advisor. After working for the same company for 42 years I had to retire early due to poor health. I have been a keen freshwater angler since childhood and I enjoyed many years of match angling until about 1997 but now I fish only for pleasure. I had never taken more than an odd photo on a compact camera until I got my Nikon D90 late in 2009. It took a while before I began to understand the many settings but reading articles and watching video tutorials really helped. Watching YouTube videos also helped me understand how to edit my photos and that is something I also enjoy very much. So there you have it. My main hobbies are angling, photography, and editing photographs. I am a very private person so I think that is all I want to say for now.
