Hi Folks!

I'm using my Flickr account in support of a new personal project called 'Northeast Ohio Journeys'!

Northeast Ohio Journeys will be both a blog and website to promote my home region of Northeast Ohio, and will be illustrated by my photography. It will also include any area we happen to visit beyond Northeast Ohio (such as Niagara Falls, Canada, a place my wife and I visit often.) We'll share our experiences and offer any travel tips that we can.

I want Northeast Ohio Journeys will be my own online world to keep me engaged and happy in my retirement years! My wife and I are frequently online giving tips to people who are visiting the same places we've been. We love it when we're able to share tips that end up saving people some time and money!

Flickr will help by serving as a kind of scratch pad for how I want my online world to appear. I can put my photos on Flickr before being used to illustrate my website. My goal is to write a short blurb in the description section of each photo that could actually function as blog posts on my site. My website is close to being finished but part of what's holding things up is getting a feel for how I need to write it. I still need to find the proper tone and voice for my site. I want Northeast Ohio Journeys to be friendly & personal, beautiful, inclusive and fun!

When it's ready for prime time, I'll reveal it on my Flickr Page!
