Hi,
Welcome to my camera travels,
I am constantly amazed by the complex elements of nature, the changing seasons, survival instincts of animals, and the travels of water. Having been raised in a diverse area such as New England, there is plenty of it to admire and photograph. I started photography due to my passion for animals. I wanted to capture memorable moments of our rescue animals and the wildlife that surrounded us. It was while toting my camera everywhere, I discovered another world and became inspired.
While sitting in the forest waiting for that deer and bobcat, I observed how the atmosphere of the forest would change as the sun moved through the sky, and how the sun’s rays would cascade through the fog and reflect the beech leaves on the brook. I watched a dew covered spider web sparkle in the morning sun, and noticed the unique curve of a wild flower’s leaf stretching around a fern to reach the sun’s warmth. It was then that I fell in love with photography and how it could capture the glorious details of nature. I am constantly striving to capture the essence of how beech trees glow in the morning after fresh rain, or how sometimes the ocean is incredibly calm and the clouds over the mountains curl like waves. With my images I share my discoveries and hope I can instill in you the same sense of wonderment.
Please look as long as you like, I am grateful for your visit. If you would like to ask me a question about a picture, I would be happy to answer. Sincerely, ME (Michelle Hanson-Ettelson) aka Shelle Ette
