2011 was a year of good changes in my photography.
After 3 years with the revolutionary Panasonic FZ-18, it was time to get back into the SLR world. My previous experience was with a Canon EOS Rebel II 35mm that I purchased in 1995 for $420, along with a basic 80-200mm lens for $180. Fun and easy to use, it served me well for many years, but was eventually replaced by a Canon Power Shot A80 with a whopping 4 MP resolution!
I purchased a Pentax K-5, and used it for several years. Now I'm shooting with a Pentax KP attached to a Tamron 17-50/2.8 for most situations, and I continue to be impressed with the abilities of this camera. When more zoom is needed, I switch to a Tokina 80-400/4.5.
I hope you enjoy my photographs. I have not been very good about tagging my photos, especially the costumes. Feel free to add a helpful tag if you recognize a particular costume or person. Comments are welcome. Please be respectful.
