I started having fun taking pictures several years ago working as a Canon rep for BDS Marketing selling printers. Having a collection of my own colorful pictures printed out for customers to see had my inventory walking off the shelves.

As time went on I became more interested in the taking and editing of the pictures than I was in the selling of printers. Fortunately for me, my next door neighbor at my full time job was a professional photographer who always had odd computer jobs for me to do. I'd help him out, he'd let me watch him play with photographs I had taken, and then he'd print them out for me... I learned alot faster watching someone else play with my pictures than I ever would have experimenting on my own.

Finally, as a graduation present to myself, last year I spent the money on a Canon Rebel and I haven't looked back. Whether it is pictures of my little niece, nature, art, the city of Chicago, friends, or family, no one can get the camera out of my hand. I'm even late to work from time to time because I keep the camera in my truck alot and when I see something interesting, I stop and click.
