I'm "pure sound, like", as we say here in my native Cork, Ireland's second, and easily the best, city. Pure sound means, I s'pose, that I'm easy going, good company, nice to hang out with.

I play the viola and acoustic guitar with the same amount of joy and passion - not to mention a quare lot of skill. I love to cook, look at the stars, swim in the sea, listen to blues, read a good book, enthuse after the cinema, play a good concert, write a fine line, and bask in dark coffee.

I'm also a long, long time sufferer of Chronic Pain.

Photography has come late to my life, but I find that it is something that totally satisfies me and helps me cope with a messed up central nervous system.

When I have good days I take photos of anything and everything. It's beautiful, life through a lens.

When pain is severe I loose myself in Photoshop and online courses in Design and the Adobe Creative Suite. The digital world is one that can take me to places music used to before pain intervened.

I'm only now getting round to publishing my photos to Flickr - lack of confidence, mixed with the longest finger of all time, has prevented me from doing so before now. I did put photos up when I only had a "snapper" camera, but since I got my 450D four years ago I've been strangely shy in doing so again.

Luckily I've recently joined the Cork Camera Group and after a wonderful talk by Cat MacBride and her husband Steven (both are Ghetty Images contributors here) I "saw the light".

'Tis time to get with the Flickr...

So here I am. Drop me a line and say hello. I'm told the Flickr community is the best around, so I look forward to chatting with you. Hope you like my photos!
