I tend to overlook my contacts for a while, forgetting to check in to see what's new. Colin included. When I do remember to get back to visit his stream I'm always impressed that there's hardly ever a "clinker" in the bunch. The images are well thought out, expressive, warm and usually thought provoking. The commonplace become magical. Even toothpaste and sink taps. His use of light and shadow, line and form to contrast or compliment the main subject is consistently well considered. These are not “cute” pictures. Not postcards. He knows what he's about, and he knows how to use his gear: he is both craftsman and artist. Look at his stream and I dare you to disagree!
