Filming East Festival (FEF) was founded by UK Film Council in 2007. FEF is a film festival, industry session programme and meeting place, as well as a charity registered in England and Wales, offering screenings, controversial discussion panels and learning opportunities all year round.

FEF brings awareness of the Chinese film industry and filmmaker community to the British audience. We have 3,000 registered members and the number is growing. Our audiences include a mix of English, UK-based Chinese and some mainland Chinese as well as other nationalities.

We are the sole partner and representative of the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA) and event partner of British Film Institute (BFI) on Chinese film exhibitions. It is the perfect place to know more about Chinese films, or launch your latest film and meet future co-production partners.
