De Filippo podria decir que es un gran fotógrafo del que soy un seguidor desde hace tiempo y que desde sus primeras composiciones hasta el dia de hoy ha ido mejorando asombrosamente hasta conseguir un estilo propio…un estilo que hace que sus fotografías sean inconfundibles. Seguo (ma forse sarebbe meglio dire precedo) Fil.ippo da tempi non sospetti: quando ancora la fotografia significava evitare di sprecare scatti preziosi, recarsi nel negozio per far estrarre il rullino dalla macchina e attendere pazientemente che le stampe fossero pronte, senza nemmeno intuirne il risultato... Sono passati ormai 50 anni, durante i quali ho avuto modo di assistere, passo dopo passo, alla crescita fotografica di Fil.ippo. Fare l'ingresso nel suo photostream equivale a entrare in una sorta di laboratorio artigianale, dove vengono prodotti piccoli gioielli e tesori di rara bellezza. L'abilità nel mostrarci la realtà da un punto di vista mai banale, la genialità nell'offrirci spunti sempre originali pur se consueti, l'attenzione ai particolari... sono solo alcuni dei lati maggiormente apprezzabili della sua tecnica. E che dire della post-produzione? Indubbiamente uno dei cavalli di battaglia del nostro Fil.ippo: le sue luci inimitabili, i suoi colori saturi al punto giusto, i suoi toni ben bilanciati sono sotto gli occhi di tutti: guardare per credere. Sono certo che chiunque avrà la fortuna di osservare con attenzione i suoi lavori non ne resterà deluso!

Since the first time when I had the pleasure to admire the remarkable photos of Filippo, while the images floated before my eyes I was quite sure to have found kind of something quite original and creative at the same time, whereas the spark of invention was never oblivious to the teachings of the great masters of photography. What impresses me mainly is in fact his great ability to combine tradition and innovation when penetrating deeply into the substrate of the subject, always creating a perfect blend of them by means of his inimitable and exclusive levity of touch. In addition to this Filippo is always the master of every photographic situations, allowing his personal sensibility and his aesthetic sense to turn the greyness of the daily reality into something often joyful, hilarious and full of positivity, always stricty subjective and extremely artistic, in other words a real joy for our eyes and our senses. In conclusion I think that he should be considered without any doubt a true example of unity of style, clearness of (photographic) mind and artistic greatness.
