People ask me "What camera do you use ?" ...

I answer "A black one, unless it's a silver one, or a wooden one :)".

I called my self a Photographer when I realised the image was more important than the equipment.

I called myself a Professional when I got payed enough for those images for us to live on.

Professional Freelance Photographer of 10+ years

Digital Imaging Consultant

Workshop Leader and Lecturer

Chartered Engineer

Clients include:

People's Republic of China

Cancer Research Race for Life

National Trust

Wildlife Trusts UK

New Swindon Company

Borough Council of Swindon

BBC Natural History Unit Bristol

and many more.

My work has been exhibited world wide and in places such as the Royal Albert Hall, London. However, my Flickr stream is not for my work, but for pictures I just take for fun.

I shoot negative film; I shoot transparency film, I shoot Polaroid/TiP, and yes, I shoot digital :)

Please note that I do not put my Professional work in my Flickr stream - this is just for snaps and fun !

Any silly awards posted under my pictures in the comments will be deleted.

Unfortunately there are a lot of rude and ignorant people in the discussion groups. If you don't like to the point accurate advice and me finding helpful links for your to go and read and learn for yourself then I will leave the group and delete all my images. Make the effort to learn and improve people :) And remember the photo is what's important, not how much money you've spent on your kit.

Chris Packham, Andy Rouse, Norbert Rosing, Frans Lanting, Ansel Adams, Ragnar Axelsson are some of my favourite photographers, if you are interested.

For those who are interested I also hold a 4 year Masters of Engineering Degree (with Honours) in Electronics and Communications Engineering with modules in Business and Management, as well as a Post Graduate Masters of Science Degree (with Distinction) in Computer Science; and have been a Chartered Engineer for a decadevand Member of the Engineering Council, the Institute of Electrical Engineers (now the IET), the Royal Institution, and a Fellow of the Royal Microscopical Society, so when it comes to tech and digital imaging I do actually know what I'm talking about :)

no one loves their bunnies - or other people's bunnies - as much as mark. he came to my rescue when beau fell ill with a good vet and he visited him for me when i was 100 miles away. it's such a relief to know that somebody has spent some time petting and comforting beau, who is so used to getting so much attention from women he probably thought it a great change to see a man! and what a man.

Mark is an amazing photographer - he manages to capture the real spirit of the subject (especially his bunny photos). He is a kind person who is totally head over heels in love with his bunnies.
