I've had an interest in photography since high school and have been appreciating the hobby ever since! I started out as a loyal Pentax user beginning with my first SLR film camera (a Pentax MG) back in 1980. In 1998 I switched it up and purchased my very first Nikon film SLR (a Nikon N80). I was kinda late to drink the Digital Photography Cool Aid, and it has only been since 2005 when I finally decided to jump ship, took the plunge, and I made the switch from 35mm film format to digital photography, and purchased a Nikon D40. I'm now on my 5th Nikon DSLR (Nikon D3S) and I can now safely say I am a diehard Nikonian.

I'm a retired career USAF Officer, an engineering professional, and I just retired for a 2nd time in April 2025 from being a Public Safety Officer with a local municipal Police Agency in the hyper- rapidly growing northeast San Antonio, Texas suburbs. I've been involved in Fire/EMS/Rescue/Emergency Services work since early on in my college days. Looking forward to now being fully retired for good and hopefully getting all my photography picture drives reorganized as I want to start putting up here a ton of emergency vehicles, aviation/aircraft, and travel photography I continue to have a strong interest in. For those who may be wondering why a person living in Texas has so many Alaska groups here, well, it's because, my spouse and I maintained a home in the north Anchorage burbs for well over 15 years, and where we still travel to often to see friends.

This is the first time displaying any of my photographs to the masses and I would truly value folks' opinions on them.
