PHOTOS

Despite the limitations of cellphone cameras, the personal feel or sense of intimacy they create and the visual effect under different lighting conditions sets the images they create apart.

 

As you can probably tell, the human form, contrasts, abstraction, details, patterns, visual humor and expressions of emotion, and architecture are of particular interest.

The few private images in this stream are kept that way because people have different ideas of art.

 

CONTACTS

Don't be offended if you are not listed as a friend right away.

 

You may be added as a contact so your photos can easily be found again (as Flickr suggests). Friends are generally only added as such if invited to do so (or "friended"). It's a way of respecting others' personal privacy and right to choice, rather than being rude by trying to impose on them to share all photos.

 

RUDE

Sadly, there are a few of people here whose knee-jerk reaction when they discovered they hadn't been listed as friends right away -- before any chance to log in after initially adding them as contacts -- was to send a rude e-mail then block, or just block for being added as a contact. Don't be that guy ... or girl. It's really not cool at all even if you think it is.

 

YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED

Tired of the rudeness some people have begun to display on Flickr by blocking members for doing what Flickr encourages (adding people as a contact so you can find their photos again) without even bothering to ask why you like their photos or added them as a contact. People were much more friendly and polite back in Flickr's early days when there were only a few hundred people on it.

 

Now those who have blocked without reason will receive a response in kind by being blocked back. Blocking is a two-way street.
