The pictures on my Flickr Page are dedicated to my late Mother (August 10, 1950-October 7, 2007) as well as to my family and friends.

My name is Lauren, and I was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area (still live here, too). My first exposure to photography was when I was a young child, and my mother always took pictures of me as I grew up. I grew interested in photography in Middle and High School, but just as a hobby. Nowadays, I enjoy documenting the various events around the metro area (parades, Festivals, etc), and I especially enjoy Sports Photography, especially Detroit TIgers baseball. Another area of interest for me is Detroit History. I like to take pictures of historic places in Detroit. . If you're interested in purchasing any of my pictures, using them in your blog, on your website, etc., feel free to send me a FlickrMail to let me know.

I also think that she's the Tiger's number one fan. Keep… Read more

Lauren's photo are like a guided tour of Detroit. She captures the everyday life and the festivals all in the same roll. And she does it with a joyous smile on her face. If you want to see Detroit, let Lauren be your tour guide.

Sam says:

You want Detroit? This is Detroit, heart and soul, for better and worse, nostalgic and recent and frankly open. It's a living, breathing city, and you'd never know it if not for photographers like femaletrumpet02. Always worth a look.
