With Marnie and I both sick, not enough parties to attend, and the annual kissing contest on hiatus, New Year's Eve 2004 looked like it was going to be a bust. "Hats! Let's make hats for New Year's Eve and get people at Studio E to wear them!!" said Marnie. It made perfect sense at the time, but maybe that was the cough medication talking. Marnie had a huge pile of felt, so I lugged my sewing machine to her place and a millinery/sweatshop was born. "We'll call it Felt Up!" she beamed.
