I'm a Brazilian amateur photographer and new to the strobist world. I joined Flickr with hopes of learning from other photographers.

I've been taking pictures for a couple of years but only recently taken it up as a hobby. I really enjoy the works of Chase Jarvis and Martin Schoeller. I believe that my main interest lies in photographing people so I'll be dedicating most of my efforts to develop my own portraiture style.

Equipment:

I recently got a D90, a Tamron 18-270 VR lens and the Nikkor 50mm f1.4. I also got an SB600 and "borrow" a YinYan ChinaFlash that my girlfriend found amongst her dad's things.

Since I'm on a budget, the few light modifiers I have are DIY (ring-flash adapter, coroplast gridspot and white board relectors). I also have a small 22'' umbrella that can be either shoot trhough or into.
