I'm a married mother of two adult daughters and a baby granddaughter. I retired from my job as a middle school Spanish teacher for 34 years at the end of the 2023 school year, freeing me up for more time to photograph and travel. I grew up in a very small town in the northeast where I still live. I discovered street photography in 2018 and love to travel for this purpose. I have photographed in Cuba, Mexico, Morocco, India, Istanbul and recently Nepal. When I am not traveling abroad, I often go to NYC to wander and photograph. I am a pro member of The Raw Society and a member of Women Street Photographers. I have been featured in group exhibitions in NYC, Mexico, Japan, Russia, Vermont, and Brussels.
I shoot street photography with a Fuji XT2 and either a 23mm or 16mm lens. For other purposes I use full frame Canons 5D Mark II and 6D with the following lenses: Canon 135, canon 24-70 f/2.8L, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L, Sigma Art 35, Canon 85 f/1.8 and a Canon 50 f/1.8. I also have a 520Ex speedlite flash that I don't know how to use very well and leave mostly up to luck.
